I forgot azie's wings in this one and although I've committed to adding them in, It hasn't happened yet >< it's a lil sad to see old friends we've fallen out with in old pics of us (rozzie) but the memories are still nice. Thank you <3 my secret (iirc) is lots of layers and use of blending modes to introduce changes in texture and color to the whole stack of layers; stuff like Multiply, overlay, shine/add. And then also using a brush with hard-ish edges but no min opacity or size, and reduced max opacity, with lots of

Brush strokes. The multiple layered brush strokes has this effect of multiplying the total apparent lines / edges of the brush if that makes sense

I believe for the nearby waves I also added an overlay layer that contained a water foam image, with very low opacity. I used to stream my painting
