What is important when you choose a journal to publish in, we asked this morning in a @ucclibrary.bsky.social workshop. Turns out graduate students really value the guidance of their supervisors.

Something in me is slightly uneasy about the influence that supervisors have on where graduate students publish. It may not always be the best fit for their article
Interesting observation, Martin. Supervisors will have their preferences and biases but hopefully will guide students using some of the other criteria listed. 🤞
hopefully that will be the case🙂 and to be honest I believe it would be for the most point... just a tiny bit of me felt a gut reaction to reading the ranking of that.
