YES FINALLY ANOTHER PERSON WONDERING ABOUT THIS TYPE OF SHIT. warrior cats is such a long and insane series i wonder all the time how bingge would react to each arc and who his faves would be. i also wonder what he'd think of wings of fire. and also i think he might like the lighthouse
warrior cats is a very violent series (which is why children like it) but it's also very much about power and biggotry in a way that i think bingge would find hits a little too close to home.
firestar was once a kittypet and is now a leader, yes, but to get the respect he currently has and be accepted into the clan he had to completely, seamlessly assimilate into clan culture. he had to polish himself down and conform. he had to be as close to perfect as he could possibly get.
he also very much had to get his paws bloody to achieve the power he has, and this is all seen as a good thing in the narrative. it is good that firestar conformed and abandoned his kittypet heritage in order to achieve power.
cloudtail (another former kittypet), inversely, questions the clan's ideology. he refuses to conform completely, he doesn't believe in starclan and is treated with derision and disrespect because of it. cats talk openly, feet away from him about how he won't get into cat heaven.
other cats don't believe he's really part of the clan, even under firestar's leadership (and firestar does... very little about it iirc, other than trying to get cloudtail to believe in starclan)
this mistreatment is obviously frowned upon by the narrative, but that doesn't change that firestar abandoning his heritage and assimilating is seen as the ultimate expression of a true clan cat.
