Disabled people have been institutionalized, forcibly sterilized, barred from public, murdered, and denied welfare resources over and over and over. The list of atrocities was and continues to be endless. 2/5

And certain groups, like those with intellectual disabilities, or those who are multiply marginalized, have been targeted in particular by state forces. We cannot understand ableism without reference to racism, sexism, and transphobia (amongst others analyses of hate). 3/5

The US continues to disable people. War, working conditions, housing, healthcare, and capitalism are all disabling forces. And yet these will never be the forces considered to "make America healthy again" bc they are the forces that make billionaires rich. 4/5
