I think it's unfortunate that no one can see the point of letting him sit a year if he's not ready. I get game reps are better than film reps, but game reps are wear and tear. If he goes out there and bombs then what? You've hurt his confidence. Let him sit, simmer and build flavor for next year.

I mean, I think Kirk's ceiling is the same as it's always been. He is a good NFL QB.. He isn't a great NFL QB, and that's OK, since there aren't many, but at this point, what more do you have to learn about him? Whereas we have questions that can easily be an answered about Penix.
