This is a hilarious way to say “we haven’t figured out how to make AI do anything useful”

But the term 'AI' gets slapped on everything so haphazardly that the good gets buried in the generative slop. So *all* of it suffers by proximity.
Yay.
1. Using generative AI (mindfully) as a tutor can improve student outcomes. https://blogs.worldbank.org/en/education/From-chalkboards-to-chatbots-Transforming-learning-in-Nigeria; https://arxiv.org/pdf/2409.15981
2. GenAI is better than human physicians at diagnosing diseases from a list of symptoms. https://arxiv.org/pdf/2412.10849
4. Use of GenAI can improve health equity. https://ai.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/AIp2400889
5. GenAI summaries of earnings calls improves investor returns. https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers....
There are other examples. In my own recent experience, generative AI did a really good job of:
1. Giving me a personalized pep talk as I was headed into a job interview.
3. Helping me drill in on research topics for an episode of my podcast.
