John Schneider is all in on building an OL.

I think they honestly tried to do something and failed. The decision was: when their first option failed, they didnt get desperate and make a bad signing. Not ideal, but I get it.

They didn’t do “basically nothing.” They contacted and brought in FA. Fries passed on a physical. Who knows if they made offers on others. All we can reasonably discern is they were not impressed with the options. Desperation isn’t the best condition to makes decisions.

On a weekly basis, Jenkins was basically a lock to leave the game with injury and maybe return a series or two later. 78% snap count in 14 starts. Not the sole reason the Chicago OL was disappointing but him being in and out did not help. He's decent but I'm glad Chicago moved on from him
