What evidence?

You're discounting the evidence that Geno didn't want to be in Seattle anymore. Why is that not a factor? Who would want a "Leader" that wanted to leave?? I wanted Geno to be our QB1 but what does that matter if he wanted out? JS had to pivot and we got the best available. It best we could do.

My "evidence" would be the lack of dialog (as reported) after the initial offer. He may have been offended by the low ball first offer, I understand that he deserved better from JS, I get that, but that's how negotiation usually goes. Start low and move up to mutual agreement.

The fact that Seattle reportedly offered $40-45 million. Geno's reported failure to counter. And that the APY for Geno's Oakland deal is so low. Highly doubt Schneider would not have made that deal.
