Guess I'm back on my yugioh arc. Tried making a few deck but in the end it seems that the soulsword deck I git a while back is the way to go for me right now. Having played yugioh at all in a LONG time so the fact that I can keep up with anyone now is.....im quite proud of myself lol - ThreadSky

I also recently got back into yugioh after a more than decade hiatus. Currently running Cyber Dragon and it's doing pretty well, it just needs a few more cards to be fully optimized. (playing at locals).

Might be worth checking out Edison format if you want to play more "Old School"

Online. I use master duel as my current situation wouldn't allow for alot of cards, especially due to price

Yeah card prices are kinda ridiculous sometimes. It’s stupid how the tcg handles card accessibility compared to the ocg

Haven’t played master duel for a bit mainly because you have to unlock all the cards first

Definitely, master duel has been far easier for me in this regard

I've done okay so I think it's possible. Especially recently I've been doing much better against people who use decks I've never seen lol. Even when I lose I've done better

That’s the way to go. Playing your deck more really helps to improve and also to see which cards work and which don’t

I also recommend to check out how decks you don’t know yet work. It helps understanding their weak points and when to interrupt their combos etc

Hopefully I can improve it. It's just the basic structure deck and I admit I like adding my own flare to my stuff lol

I'll have to do that in the future, but for now I wanna find "my deck"

I only just tried out the soulsword gift deck today and I've already done much better in ranked duels

its just satisfying to watch your opponent build an insane board turn 1, just for me to put down 1 permanent spell that cant be targeted by most negates and makes my monsters immune to everything, then fuse a 4500 atk tank that can attack every monster once and a 3300 atk that can attack 3 times

Lol, since I'm using the swordsoul deck in master duel, for me it's letting them go first, get a good field, then I dark hole the field, and if they negate it, I do it again lol

Also ik the 4500 one is chaos giant, what's the 3300 one?

Ancient Gear Megaton Golem, requires 3 Ancient Gear Monsters, can attack once per Ancient Gear Golem used to fuse it, when destroyed by card effect, allowes me to summon a Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem (4400 atk) from my extra deck as special summon without Fusion or materials
