Update: According to CHP, the Waymo had a mechanical issue and became disabled in the lane on the onramp. The officer helped get it to the shoulder and a tow truck is on its way. 🛞

In California, Waymo can be given a citation for non moving violations but not moving violations bc of a loophole in the AV law. Waymo reported to CPUC they'd received 958 citations in California while in ridehail service thru 2024. AFAIK, there is no public record for R&D citations or other states.
