I’ve been reading a lot about coyotes, particularly urban ones. This research group has conducted some incredible studies on the behaviors of urban coyotes living in Chicago.
Coyotes are such a brilliant light that shines in the darkness of endless development and human caused climate change. They are hardy and intelligent creatures that have thrived while adapting to city living.
They face unwarranted persecution by humans and have lethal controls visited upon them without reason. Despite this their population stays steady. Dare I say they’re a little queer with it.
