22 Apr. 1667 #OTD Alice Thornton's niece, Anne Danby, left their house for a short stay at Howley Hall, Morley, where her best-friend, Martha Batt, was in the service of the Countess of Sussex. Thornton did not approve of James Savile, the 2nd Earl of Sussex, and his wife.
