I don’t think our roster is terribly flawed. Small moves would help a lot. Agbaji or Tybulle or all in on Kessler or Cam Johnson would help a lot. Look, if Vando was healthy or we had an other energetic defensive player, we’d be in good shape. 2 bad road trips, that’s all. We’re close. 1 or 2 moves

Depends on the trade but we have some expiring contacts, drafts assets, and young flyers that could be attractive depending on the deal. But no one I’m looking to trade for (save Cam J) makes more than 20mil and most make much less.

For Agbaji, I might be willing to put in a heavily protected 1st or 3-4 2nds. But no more for those two. For Kessler an unprotected 1st + removal of protections on previous 1st. For Cam, unprotected 1st plus 2 2nd

Because the incompetent roster build costs the Lakers a lot more games than a mediocre coach’s coaching.

This is proven by the fact that JJ can’t improve on Ham’s record.

Remember, when he got hired, Ham’s reputation was a good as Redick’s.

Pelinka set him up as scapegoat (as he will do to JJ).

I think most people, fans and the organization itself, just have the order wrong. The ownership and front office are far more to blame than coaching. It’s a deeply flawed roster that should not be taken seriously. I also think the media has been overrating both LeBron and AD for a couple of years

AD is easily top 10. The Lakers refuse to do what it takes to enable him to win another title in his prime. LBJ, fading fast, but still top 25.

Two stars can’t win titles unless there’s a good team around them. That’s on Pelinka. He is a “take a nap and all your problems go away” type leader.

I’d personally have him just outside the top 10 but folks can disagree on that. He is really good and at certain times, like the start of this year, he looks incredible. I do agree its front office out there has not done a good job.
