I was amazed at my visceral neg. reaction to the sere AZ landscape. For my job, I lived at Grand Canyon for 2yrs. Never was comfortable in the desert.

Yes, it is a beautiful & awesome visit. But so very inhospitable & unsustainable even with redirecting rivers & high energy interventions like AC.
