They’re projecting snowflakes and lowered the harsh lighting in CommuniCore Hall like I said they should the other day!!

It still needs *a lot* of work for future festivals (better themed merchandise displays like we used to have inside of WoL, more dynamic and exciting exhibits and activations, more wall art).

But this is definitely an improvement from last week!

Sorry for the bluntness of the post. I’m all for being positive and hoping for improvements but that same attitude is not extended to the rest of the industry and came off as Disney superiority complex

As a gay man, I’ve listened for over two years now as people have told me that Universal is going to shut down WDW because Disney went woke & dared to stand up for people like me.

As I have said previously: that’s my personal gripe with Uni atm; however, I appreciate the good and bad at both parks.

well fuck those people! and i'm taking my boyfriend to both next month. Universal did a huge memorial for Pulse victims in 2016 and added their names in the Hollywood windows. they're *both* good at things!

When push came to shove with the DeSantis debacle, one company stood with the LGBTQ community. Another opportunistically stayed quiet. That’s a feeling that I can’t shake easily.

It still lacks properly themed merchandising displays. It’s still lacking good activations (although the gingerbread is the best one I’ve seen so far).

But this is a start. Have they even used these projections outside of the media night? I think this is the first use I remember.

All I’ve wanted was for them to darken this space and utilize the lights to bring the space to life.

Is it perfect? No. Far from it. But this is the first time they’re actually moving in the right direction.

I haven't been there yet so I don't really understand this space. But it just seems "cold" and I feel like it needs carpeting or rugs or something. I guess that would get too gross maybe with rain and whatnot. But it just seems sterile.

Agreed! I made a post about this a few days ago, but recommended a darker terrazzo flooring. Although Disney turning down the lights and utilizing the projections made the floor look a lot darker today and I love it.

Communicore Hall is so tiny. The only other thing less important to report on is the cement in Adventureland and the color of the road signs on property.
