One noticeable thing about the dodgers free agent spending binge over the last several years is they have not been interested in any of the Astros who cheated them out of a title in 2017. Springer, Bregman, Correa, Verlander: no, no, no, no.

Or the guy who struck out 17 times and walked once in the WS (Bellinger), then “forgot” how to hit once the league cracked down on sign stealing. Sorry, the Astros got scapegoated. Dodgers cheated and still lost
This is true. The Dodgers did, however, trade for the resonant trash bins the Astros used. Watch for Jose Altuve lookalikes banging on those bins in the center field bleachers next season.
The real problem is teams like Houston basically made no less the 435 million in profit last year, but aren't spending it.. the number for a team like Houston is probably actually higher especially with there fans support
When being a sore loser rots your brain. Most teams did the same as MLB added the monitors to every dugout. But use a bitter Fiers to hang your beliefs on.
So what you are saying is MLB should get rid of free agency and players should only play for the teams they are drafted for? Can we still trade for players or is that “Buying” a team?
I think it’s a bigger issue that the Pittsburgh Pirates and Cincinnati Reds owners could be spending money they get in revenue sharing from the dodgers but are pocketing the money instead rather than spending it on players.
Do you really think a couple of teams cheaping out is a bigger issue than a handful of teams being able to use the rest of the league as their minor league system? I mean look at the Allstar squads the Yankees and Dodgers are trotting out there every game. It’s wild.
apart from that, the supposed cheating they were doing has about a zero percent chance of helping. And when you look at the home/away splits, etc., it just doesn't add up.
Astros home away splits didn’t add up in 17 either. They were better on the road. But we know they stole signs at home because they confessed to it. 🤷♂️
Agreed. Just pointing out their blind spot when it comes to the 2018 Red Sox since they ended up with several of those players on their team while continuing to whine about the 17 Astros. Who clinched in LA.
Sorry Smiley. Reddick, Kemp and Altuve have been documented as the three players to not use the system in 17. Meanwhile. You’re a big Mookie fan no? 🤷♂️
Those guys all actually did use the system though. I’m defending Altuve Reddick and Kemp even though two are no longer with the team. Were you also a stop the steal guy? Since you clearly don’t care about evidence to backup your accusations. 🤔
Did you not see the considerably more recent story that they didn’t sign Correa because of a concern over fan image due to his connection with the Astros?
The most notable about the dodgers free agent spending is the majority of money is deferred which the player won’t be active and paying taxes in California or America for that matter. So they get to be a trump, musk ,etc pay no taxes and living off taxpayers.
Lmao. The amount of water carrying that national pundits are already doing to try to spin people into thinking that this is actually good is hilarious.
Plus the Dodgers only acquired 6 players from the 2018 Red Sox after cheating them out of their World Series, which sends a pretty powerful message imo.
Springer is kind of the only potential fit maybe? Correa had well documented injury concerns, Bregman doesn’t necessarily fit right now, Kershaw is taking up the Old Vet rotation spot that Verlander would have occupied
Fair points. I wasn’t thinking there was no interest in Verlander those days, just that the Mets went on that spending spree and outbid everyone. It also feels like now that LAD has won a non-covid championship with this core, they’re operating much differently than prior

The dodgers used to have owners like this 12 years ago!
Yes, he got a ring, but as a life-long Dodger fan, I don't consider him a cheater.
Altuve is a POS.
Altuve has done nothing to repay his debt.
Altuve is a known cheater. Live in denial all you want.
Funny you're not defending Springer, Correa, Bregman, or racist shitbag Gurriel, though.
Just an Altuve defender?
(Speaking of Mookie, 2018 mean anything to Dodgers fans?)
And of course Dodgers have no interest in Bregman. Not when they have a very serviceable 3B in Muncy.
Btw literally nobody is interested in Bregman so I’m not sure what that proves
They could have signed Verlander years ago when the Mets did.
They absolutely needed a shortstop when Correa was on market.
Muncy prob saved his job improving his D at third this year.
