Polio survivor Mitch McConnell voted against RFK Jr. today because he knows he’ll harm public health. He had a chance to stop all this after January 6th and convict Trump in the Senate but was too big of a coward. He gets no credit for his “courage” today.

It's very cute how Mitch McConnell is doing his little protest votes on Trump nominations now that he's one foot in the grave. He had more power than anyone to stop Trump from ever becoming president again by pushing to convict him in the Senate four years ago but he was too big of a coward.

More likely (and cynical) explanations are already in other replies.
Once a coward, always a coward.
And when RFK Jr is responsible for an ungodly number of preventative deaths and people look to see what historians had the courage to stop him, Mitch should not get credit
Eff him.
Trumpachev was the foil/face of all this crap, but Moscow Mitch was the enabler, the facilitator, the actual culprit.
This was a legacy move, nothing more. The man has ZERO morals.
Because McConnell was sick as a child.
He voted against RFK. I know, wild!
Enter Trump saying his sickness is fake.
Mitch can’t complain. He sealed that fate.
Negotiated posturing by Mitch. Thats all.
He had so many chances to stop this - a unique position to truly make a difference to it all. But he didn't do it. He let it happen.
And now it's too late.
