I’ve been thinking about Aaron all night while watching the wave of anti-fascist zeal sweep through the smaller, slower and more timid corners of Reddit. When I saw “Nazis are notoriously invasive” on r/NativePlantGardening it felt complete and kind of like a little lingering gift from him to us.
I said in awe of him. Talk to text is glitchy on here. I know it’ll get better. Funding will increase. Members will increase and I wouldn’t mind paying a small subscription if it helped.
He is an icon , a symbol and hugely important always as a reminder and a resistor against the privatisation of knowledge. But above all else he is a son sorely missed and a friend and a human being whose loss is incalculable
I hadn’t heard of your son before this but just spent a half hour reading articles about him and feel what a kind heart and amazing intelligence he had. My heart goes out to you for your loss.
I just this week learned about the faker.js update referencing your son, prompting me to read more about him. That's how I learned that you gave him the name Hillel and about this anniversary. I hope knowing that I was thinking about him on the yahrzeit gives you some comfort.
