iirc dorugreymon and dexdorugreymon aren't really greymons. They're part of alphamon's line from the x-evolution movie? They got mistranslated into greymon because digimon translation was and is really screwy.
Yeah I stopped at the third show I think it was Tamers and that was perfectly just a touch of edgy I needed out that age which makes sense since it was written and directed by the guy who did Neo Genesis Evangelion
I think what gives digimon the edge is that they are not bassicly animels which most pokemon are but can actually be pretty close to humans
And we all know human adjacened digimon are the best anyway
