I wish everyone could experience what it's like to be an immigrant. It's so humbling when you realize how much you have to trust and depend on strangers for even the simplest of things. It makes you a better, more empathetic person.

Everyone here has been so amazing. Friendly, welcoming, and eternally patient with me as I struggle with language. Every day brings another challenge, so I have to trust that people will be willing to help me and I haven't been let down yet. I just try to stay humble and be a good guest here.
DO IT! My move was 20 years in the making, so there's no reason not to start working on your dream today. Your future self is literally begging you to start now.
I think one of the biggest problems in the states is that not enough people can or want to travel and learn from other cultures. Capitalism forces everyone into giant cars and expensive houses and then they never go anywhere.
100%. And the american exceptionalism myth keeps people believing there's nothing outside of their little world worth understanding. America should be welcoming immigrants, that would expose more people to more cultures. But you'd end up opening people's minds, which is clearly dangerous and scary.🙄
