True, but not useful on the days (most of them) when I'm not making it. I have a limited amount of time in the evenings; having to wait that long to do something just leaves me less time to do everything else. I'm going to have to multitask, ffs... 🫣 - ThreadSky

Nah, it'd be even slower if I did that! To be fair on the poor thing, I did buy it in about 2017, so it's been through a lot. I'm going to need one that can support Windows 11 before October.

One of the reasons I left IT was the forced obsolescence of hardware (and software). And Windows. I won’t touch it now!

We're on Windows 11 at work, so I'm sort of used to it. I tried Linux, but it's a lot of extra faff if all you want to do is write stories and put music on a player. My requirements are modest; I spend enough time doing whizzy stuff at the library!

Yeah, I get that. I tried Linux in its early days, but there wasn’t a lot of decent software for it back then - bound to be different now. I also can’t be bothered with all the faff now either!
