Fandoms depicting characters for shipping purposes in ways that bear almost no resemblance to what those characters are textually like is common enough, but I have to give it to the Homestuck fandom circa 2013 for managing to do so in a way that the mischaracterisations are themselves funny as hell.

This was practically THE most popular ship for a solid year. While I have nothing bad to say about this video, if shipping fanwork is your main frame of reference for these characters you will be very surprised to learn what their role in the actual comic is.
