If I remember correctly NTTS said they're using a third party company that uses AI to analize the pictures (so it will be a failure, you can just use a photoshopped image and get away with it) but at least they say they don't store any data.

What I mean by this is that the places I have done Trust and Safety for, while we did have verification teams, the process of uploading that kind of sensative information or documentation was not a program made or run by the company. It was another company program that would take, encrypt, store--

That kind of information. This was to ensure that that encryption could happen, a very VERY small group of people could see this information, and those who could see it needed super special clearance, logins, and had logs attached to those viewings. This keeps people honest and accountable.---

Having just Discord using their own system takes that out. This means that doxxing could happen more easily, information getting leaked, or systems and accounts getting hacked. Discord already has a bad bot problem, between that and them, at one point, taking about using AI, how do we know it's----

Not going to be used to train their AI system? How do we know that some huge fan of a creator wouldn't be able to somehow get ahold of their information for doxxing or blackmail? How do we know a Nazi working at the company is not just going to give out someone's information to the cops or ICE?

Is this intense logic? I'm sure will be to some, though with knowing what I have seen, it is not that far fetched to me.

It's just not worth it to give a single company, with their own in house verification, the power to put someone in danger.
