Star Trek has always been political. Roddenberry designed ST to use allegory to tell stories that might not otherwise be allowed on network TV. From the beginning, he strove to show a bolder, better, more inclusive future, which I believe is at the core of its enduring appeal.

Hey maybe you can appreciate my first thought about the US administration: they are ferengi. My biggest meme wish atm is a meme made on OpenAI of Elon Musk as one.
1. Calling him ferengi.
2. Making a meme of him on something made by Sam Altman (who is just as big a conartist as him, but he hates Altman) it’s just… perfect.
We’re faced with two futures for this planet: Star Trek or Mad Max.
I hope to God we get the former rather than the latter.

Certain episodes (on a few different Trek shows) made mention of how the replicator made fine food, but the same every time, whereas manually cooked meals just hit different due to the variances each time.
