NOAA runs so many important services with funds allocated for them. Just a few. National Weather Service (NWS) Storm Prediction Center (SPC) Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) and more!

One VITAL agency is The National Weather Service. NWS does so many things. Weather warnings? NWS issues them. Flights use NWS helps to forecast and report things like turbulence. SWPC under NWS alerts power companies for impending solar storms which can damage the power grid

Your local weather person even gets majority of their data from NWS. The amazing thing is this is all free to access! https://weather.gov can be browsed by anyone anywhere in the world. They even have low resource versions for those with limited data access

Companies. Specifically AccuWeather in the past has tried to privatize this data. Imagine people missing crucial warnings for an impending tornado or hurricane because they haven't subscribed to a weather company.

In fact trump nominated AccuWeather's former CEO and younger brother of the founder: Barry Myers to lead NOAA in 2017 (however this fell through)

So what I'm essentially saying is defend NOAA and protect the free access to this crucial resource. Let your representatives know how important the proper functioning of NOAA is to everyone.
