Jagmeet Singh isn't Canada's PM, so what he says isn't what happens. PM Trudeau has called the idea "facile" and "irresponsible". But he also won't be PM by the time the summit rolls around, and we have no idea what the new PM will decide. I'm with Singh on this, but I very much doubt it'll happen.
