A4 #lthechat yes, some of our study schemes embed debriefs after most activities. Great strategy! Healthcare education is especially strong on this, probably because reflective practice is central to the nursing discipline already.
A4 referring to @nomadwarmachine.bsky.social again live your philosophy: Create these spaces, during first lock down, we ended up talking about the struggles of that week rather than teaching. It was more important to hold that space. And despite/because (?) of it the assessments went well #LTHEchat
A4 Let your curriculum and teaching breath, allow space for teacher to student and student to student dialogue through structured and unstructured activities to build connection and mattering. #LTHEChat
A4 #LTHEchat create informal spaces where ideas can be explored tentatively for an ephemeral discussion - not held on a forum for 100s of students to see through the module and as an archive for a year or two beyond!
#lthechat yes definitely. It can be hard sometimes for us as facilitators to hold back and not give the answers but let their peers do so. Takes more time but more opportunity for deep, real learning.
A4. This is so important but a real challenge for learners with multiple competing pressures on their time. Perhaps talking about the value of learning dialogues in our own academic journey (past and present) to highlight their value. Also ensuring dialogue is supportive, non-threatening #LTHEchat
