Indeed. People have been clamoring for years about how unhealthy social media algorithms are for everyone, and about how the only benefit is the corporations that sell ads and can keep you on the site for as long as possible.

But it's not at all tricky if you don't have engagement algorithms...

Yeah, I totally agree. I think bluesky is opening a path for us to regain some ownership on these things. We may see a resurgence in the sort of early days of the internet, where people run their own servers and foot the bill, but it will be OURS. And that's a big deal! 🙂
