I have two sites, one of squarespace and one on Wix. The website builders are pretty straightforward.

Wix is more open with adult or adult adjacent content and found customizing with a little sprinkle of custom code easier.

I’ve been making websites these last couple months on Wordpress. It’s updated a lot and you can make some pretty nice stuff with default themes and a few lightweight plugins. But tbh I think what gets recommended to her depends on what features she wants for her business.

I've used various platforms over the years as a web designer & as a customer myself. Now my website is on Squarespace & I do really like it. It was easy to get going, customize & manage. I have a client who is not tech savvy that does well using it for a shop & blog. Let me know if you have more ?s

I'll ask her about features 🙂 She's game to learn. I could be wrong, but I've figured she won't have such complex requirements that it would justify learning and maintaining a bespoke codebase, though.
