!! wish i could explain i kinda make the lined contour and then decide on the flat colors for the base, then shade them with a few different shades and then i go over the piece on a separate layer and start coloring over the black lines and then i add back some of the black that i removed

i kinda didn't vibe with any of the painting brushes i tried so i decided to do all the coloring with the brush i use for inking, i think this is important as well

i think sometimes excessive transparency on your brushes can make things feel too artificial when you look up close, which is also why i decided to use this brush for everything.. i do want to try things with different brushes at some point though but for now i like this
