That's awesome. It's the quantified news stuff Ground News does, but never gets quite right. They put it in terms of partisanship and corporate ownership, which I get but eh.

What it does is address a fear or aspiration some people say they have about their news consumption, so it is marketable.

This is a great idea. I would be very interested in analysis that helps me improve signal-to-noise in my social media use: who is sharing news I click on, or what proportion of links shared by accounts/lists I follow do I read?

Makes sense that you’re not tracking that; maybe that would require something too intrusive. I’m finding that curated lists of niche topics tend to give better results than general following lists (which get dominated by mainstream political news) and am wondering how to optimise that effect.

Top domains would be really helpful. It could point me towards the publications I should subscribe to - and perhaps those that are no longer so relevant!
