while its pissy o’clock, i just want to air out how many frustrating stories at bw ive heard. Like the DA team absolutely knew what we wanted and pitched to deliver but was told no so many times. 🥲

this is why i almost never blame the actual devs for a game's shortcomings. it's almost always management either failing to fix things or actively fucking things up
Honestly considering what I've heard from a friend of mine who was on the QA team, there was a particular sarebaas I *wish* came to the final game somehow.
It hurts to know this, in my heart I know BW wanted to do more, it sucks that they had to deal with this. I do hope things will turn out better for them but here's to hoping!
Yeah, I have complex feelings about the game we got but I think it was pretty clear that the version of the game we got was not what the team had intended to put out from the start. Wish we could have gotten to see a "no-compromises" version of it in the wild.
Agreed, I still loved Veilguard for what it was, but I could see that the team had wanted to do even more and that makes my heart ache, for the devs as well as us fans. We all deserved better from the BioWare people in charge. 🫠
It sucks how much it feels like the devs were clawing their way to give us the best dragon age possible only first BW/EA to break their fingers at every opportunity
I get so frustrated with everything I hear about how the DA team was treated. An insult to the devs and fans. They devs deserved better and to not be treated like they were disposable or their project not worth anything.
