One other key difference is NHL coaches dress like men, whereas NFL coaches dress like dudes at a trivia night where they have Miller High Life on special.
By contrast, it still cracks me up in baseball to see grown adults formally line up to high-five...their own teammates after a game. Like, that's a goofy thing we'd do as kids playing hockey or soccer after the ACTUAL handshake with the other team.
That's mental. In football (or soccer as you may call it) the trophy is always presented to and lifted by the captain of the winning team. Owners stay in the stands.
I remember being at Parc de Princes when the USWNT won gold this past year and the players insisting Emma Hayes join them on the podium / in celebration and her polite refusal to do so because it was *their* moment. Not a perfect analogy but one that stuck with me!
even as a giants fan, nothing but respect for Lurie and Roseman's probably the best GM in the league. but they didn't personally just sweat it out for the last 60 minutes. just my take!
Just saying I am totally okay with him speaking first. These guys have plenty of chances to speak, and it’s clear they have respect for the owners, I don’t think it matters 🤷🏼♀️

Don't forget the handshakes.
