It’s funny that trump doesn’t know anything at all about history, because if he did he’d know that canadas reputation for being nice is a sham and every time we wind up in conflict we go absolutely shithouse on everyone.

Obviously it's a skill he and PP share, PP just finished saying that Canada has been a trading partner with the states for centuries, 🤔, even my math skills are better than that.
I wish I could remember which battle it was but there is a story about when the British or Americans found out Canadians were coming to join the fight and they were like oh shit now the enemy is in for it.
Sure we can, if we're smart about it and don't play the Americans' game. If push comes to shove and things get loud, don't think Iraq 1991; think Belfast 1970 across the continental US.
(Granted it's a dirty and ugly way to win, but we've done worse & been praised for it.)
I kept warning them every time they say we are nice. I am leaning on polite as the correct word. But we also haven’t provided proper clean drinking water to all indigenous peoples. We are not nice, or good at all.
Just need to understand that the Geneva Convention was written in large part because of what Canadian soldiers did. Not a point of pride, but a warning.
The only silver lining in all this, is we finally have a unifying cause. I haven't seen in ages Canadians all on the same page. Everyone seems to be like... Whelp, trade war sucks, but you gotta do what you gotta do - *cue booing the anthem at the Sens game*

Everyone seems to be on Team Canada.
Like Our military was famous for it's batshittery
Then we rebranded to peacekeepers, did a massive fail in Rwanda, and then yeah.
