I’ve yet to figure out how to overcome the strange time loop man-in-the-middle attack where Eve watches herself tricking Bob and then goes back in time to perform that infiltration, but I did make the following observation: any solution that involves picking a passphrase in advance is unnecessary:

It seems impossible to do a Diffie-Helman handshake, given that the information available to one party is a strict superset of the other's (Alice knows Bob's secret key), unless Bob wipes some of his memory right after the handshake
