I feel it’s a direct attack on Vivek’s 2026 run for the gubernatorial seat. While they’re both republicans, Vivek is an extreme right MAGA republican.

Tressel was notified by the FBI and NCAA in April 2010 his players were involved in Tattoogate-players were trading memorabilia for tattoos. The investigation went on another year. In April 2011, Tressell was accused of lying to keep ineligible players on the field for the 2010 season. He resigned

In April 2011. School forfeited 2010 wins. Self imposed 2 yr probation, and NCAA added 3rd. Barred school from playing in bowl games for 2012. Tressel got a 5 yr show cause penalty so schools hiring him would need to show why they shouldn’t be penalized by hiring him.
