Offering kindness and understanding is much more important than passing judgment. Sometimes, people just need a little space and compassion, not to be scrutinized. The world would definitely be a kinder place if we all kept that in mind.

I'm so thankful to my neighborhood. We try and take care of those unhoused in our neighborhood. We know them by name. They like it outdoors so we all protect them. We see nothing. :)

I was homeless in the SF Bay Area for 3 yrs. We were so thankful to find a safe place to park to get a few hours of sleep. We were clean & quiet. I worked full time (low income) & my husband got social security. We were priced out of rent. No extra money to save. Just survival.

I work at a public library in a downtown urban area and we had this lady camped out in our parking lot for MONTHS. Not a single employee ever ratted her out because we understood. It was only after the city imposed a ban on camping out on public property did we notice she was no longer there.
