I used to live in a border city and our economy ran on Canadians. As a rule, locals didn’t go to the store on weekends bc it was “Canada day” and the stores were full of Canadians. I can’t imagine what the city will be like now.

As someone who needs power and can’t afford a generator I wouldn’t mind if they did some flipping but it is pretty cold here for the elderly and the young. I wouldn’t blame them per se but I worry about the vulnerable populations who are already suffering and will see an increase under trump.

I need to make a hard-copy written note to get passports. I’ve looked into it, have the checks to pay the US for them. Just need to schedule the appointment. At Costco yesterday we noticed a lot of the Lunar New Year products were from Canada. I'm not sure if that's typical for items this time of year or if it's to do w regional sourcing since I'm in New England but either way we were excited both to try some new things AND get some Canadian products 🇨🇦
