these prices. It’s getting hard to survive as is, with the middleclass in America dissolving. Wages aren’t being raised to take inflation into account, and US citizens can barely afford to house themselves now, let alone buy food or pay bills.

Gaming has always been a lucery product. U dont need it to survive. Its just economically bad in the game. The people who want tthe switch 2 will eventually get it.
Also the switch was instantly sold out on the few online shops that were already doing pre orders. Idk how many they will get in stock but just shows that there are still a lot of people willing to buy it.
Going to spend on said luxuries. Especially if they’re outpriced of those luxuries. The only people who will afford switch 2 are youtubers or die-hard Nintendo fans. Mark my words.
Thing is if u calculate it with inflation the games would cost 60 if prices stayed the same as in 2017. But nope the 60 bucks in 2017 is now actually worth 78 bucks. It just makes sense switch 2 is still gonna do well. Even with these prices.
I’d agree with you if people were making higher wages that go hand in hand with the rising costs from inflation. However they aren’t. Most people aren’t going to be able to afford it, as they are making less money than they were in 2017 by how inflation is working. This is why it feels more-
