I feel like it has to do with not filtering out repeats? A bunch of my mutuals are also mutuals, so if I follow 500 people and 100 of them repost the same thing, I see that post 100 times in my feed. Then b/c the post is seen more it's reposted more and soon my whole feed is just a couple posts

Honestly, I feel like this is all part a slow and painful death of social media, or at least of what it used to be. Nothing has really captured that peak fun vibe early to mid 2010s Tumblr had where social media kind of peaked (at least in my opinion).

I've noticed the algo is responsive to engagement. The more I like/ comment a certain user, the more they'll appear. BUT it's also not intuitive for me yet to be like, checking if I'm on my Discover feed or friends feed or whatever. The option is nice but sometimes I forget where I'm looking 😵
