As a retired 🇨🇦 park ranger then planner, nothing would grieve me more 😡🤬 Our stupid provincial conservative government never liked parks either and they told us to our faces that it “sterilized” the land from resource extraction. It was a “barrier to the Alberta advantage” in their exact words.

That man literally cannot see the forest for the trees. He said "we'll grow more trees". Didn't calculate the impact on weather, air, climate, wildlife, value, beauty. He needs to be sawed down before the rest of us are. It pains me that I hate this much. But I do.

This move is about money. The timber industry is huge. Trump will get money from the corporations. Rolling back the regulations & protections is the part where owning the libs is the icing on his deranged cake.
It's not the trees he's after. This gives them carte blanche to defoliate wherever they want to drill, dig, explode, ruin, exploit! Things are insane and evil folks!!
I was still in Virginia when “W” was president. I remember how upset people got that he let a lumber company cut down trees in George Washington Nat’l Forest. It belonged to the American people, not the POTUS.
Imperialist colonizers have been burning and pillaging the land for a long time. It makes the heart ache seeing it knowing we will never be able to get some of these forests back.
Canadian here: but then, the US won't have to import Canadian lumber. Dickhead said it: the US doesn't need anything from Canada. No oil, no electricity, no aluminum, no steel, no electricity. And no lumber.
