Bloody hell, that takes me back! I learned in infants and took it all the way through to juniors. My mam threatened to wrap it around my neck if I continued in secondry..🤣
The start of my musical life: amateur choirs,orchestras, opera and many, many concerts, both performing and listening. It started there in Junior 3, with Miss Docker, and I shall be forever grateful.
Also some rackety nights out.

There was a treble recorder (beautiful mellow sound, not at all screechy 😉) and a bass as well - the bass had a key (lever arrangement) so you could reach the bottom few holes.
Bet I could rattle London's Burning off to this day! 🤣 The slavvery condensation that used to drip out after a heavy session on the recorder was grim!! 🤮
