In the final event, it‘s not just this specific example succumbing to, what do I know, greed, fear, pressure. It‘s rather when you see the huge number of former heroes falling … it erodes the general trust that heroes can and will be heroes. It erodes systemic optimism.
I'm honestly curious what government they plan to work with that is currently "guided by core values like freedom, equality, and respect for human rights." Because it sure isn't the United States at the moment.

While I believe all of the Silicon valley attendees at the inauguration are oligarchs, I think some were simply there to have a seat at the table. They know Musk would squash them with the might of the Federal government.
I guess it's just an illusion that not using google, microsoft, amazon/Alexa, et al, will preserve my privacy, and that teh invasion of privacy for profit and surveillance is total, complete and all encompassing. Next I'll learn that duckduckgo is a parasite, too.
