The 6th district is just as tough for a Dem to win. Mike Waltz won it by 33 points in November. Cook PVI calls it R+14. That stretches from St. Augustine to Daytona Beach, also capturing the northern Orlando suburbs and areas east of Gainesville and Ocala.

Gaetz won it in November by 32 points, but Cook PVI calls it an R+19 district. The formula is another story for another day. Anyhow, it’s considered the most Republican district in the state. It’s the westernmost district in the state with a huge military presence w/Eglin AFB and Pensacola NAS.
