Good question. I had written a large number (160+) of essays on a peer review site called https://Everything2.com. When ChatGPT came out, I experimented with writing collaboratively and realized that a novel would be much more achievable using the chatbot as a sounding board/beta reader.
My first child. He has OCD and accelerated learning in some areas and behind in others. He seemed to see and experience the world differently and he inspired my middle grade time travel series :)
I won a screenwriting contest with my very first (horror) screenplay. That same week, I was asked to be in a PWF anthology. Had no idea what PWF even was, but after watching Practical Magic and reading 2 books all in one day, I was hooked. The rest is history. ❤️
I caught the storytelling bug during my time giving speeches in Toastmasters. The experience of crafting narratives and connecting with an audience inspired me to take it further. That’s when I decided to try a long-form story, which became my first book.
I would like to inquire about what you do for Self-Published authors. I'm working on 3 Book Series concurrently (I enjoy the workflow madness and being able to switch between them)
I couldn't remember the things I was discovering, so I wrote them down. After verification of facts, and the collection of company catalogs, I decided to write books. Currently working on the 27th.
Listening to stories, watching movies, being around other creatives and being inspired by their energy and bravery and willingness to take risk and share their gifts with others.
