This is why it is worth noting, none of the Judeo-Christian religions had anything bad to say about slavery. The only rule was to enslave those from other tribes, not your own tribe.
The abolitionist movement came entirely from a secular, not a religious, basis. No “god” said it was a bad thing.
Abake could tell a history which many countries have denied their populations, keeping them ignorant of their forefathers appalling actions against millions of innocent Africans forced into Slavery. Ancestors of slaves never compensated while slave owners were paid for the loss of their labour 😠
