It seems incongruous that a brutal State, like Israel, is willing to release thousands of Palestinian prisoners for hundreds of kidnapped Israelis. It's strange.. until you really, really think about it.

Perhaps the innocent Israeli victims were kidnapped by a terrorist group (and Hamas is a terrorist group) in retaliation for thousands of innocent Palestinians imprisoned by an Israeli terrorist group (and the Netanyahu Govt is a terrorist group)?

It's always the innocent that get punished.

That's because Israel keeps arresting Palestinians for no good reason.
Releasing a number of them doesn't matter to Israel. They might just arrest them again the next day.
