Hamas has no credibility as an interlocutor for anything.
I see virtually no difference between them.
And no way this will end well.
But still, one is a democracy, the other one is a dictatorship. Not at all the same.
Netanyahu pulled the same trick. To call it a democracy is generous in the extreme.
Point is that the article gives credibility to a statement offered by a terrorist organization that only exists because of Iran's money and forced control of local vital systems. It's enough of Hamas tbh...
But comparing its democratic functionality to the one of Hamas is deeply wrong.
It is the very definition of fascism and totalitarianism.
If the executive can override the judiciary - as Bibi wants - that is the end of the Rule Of Law. You now have an Emperor, above the law.
Israelis should withdraw, wait for Hamas to attack, and take no prisoners. You carry a gun, you die. Use drones to kill anyone firing a rocket.
