I finally dumped my nearly 40 year old subscription to the Times back in July. It felt like I was being gas-lit every single day. Now? I subscribe to the Guardian, Philly Inquirer, and Star Ledger. I don't have to pay for my own abuse.

It truly is up to us to fund independent journalists. All our institutions are compromised and serve to divide, so as we are driven into poverty & serfdom we merely squabble over how many angels can dance on the head of a pin
If they are at least attempting to do the activity we used to call “journalism” I’m willing to take a look. I’d never heard of them, and I cancelled my NYT a few years ago and will not be renewing the Wash Post.
NJ Star Ledger was a decent paper when I lived there in the 80s.
(My local was the Asbury Park Press.)
Glad to hear they're still doing well, and haven't been eaten by Gannett or whatever.
The NYTimes, once the hallmark of journalistic integrity, has moved to the recesses of corporate self interests whereby normalizing the chaos leads to monetary gains albeit one of fleeting graces and turmoil. Like a fish determined to test fate and lead itself to shore.
Me too. 24/7 normalizing and sanewashing fascism the entire campaign - and then get all self-righteous about ONE editorial saying Trump was unfit.
Nauseating hypocrisy.
