Hey, fursuit makers! When starting out, is it better to take on commissions, or try to sell ready-to-wear suits? I'm looking at breaking into the business and I'm not sure where to start. #furry #furrycommunity

My recommendation as someone who did a suit comm the first ever time making a suit for someone else, I say go for ready made lmao it was a terrible experience I wouldn't try again
Making ready made will help your later processes go smoother cus you can get the feel of making more, plus you're able to try new techniques without worry the customer won't like it
Yeah, it was a dumb thing, very traumatic lol but if you can find someone patient enough to be your first comm, go ahead! It's all what you're comfortable with atm
Both lol learning more things about suit making and trying different thing
I was fine on the suit process but the customer was hell. Correction: customer's mother.
